What kinds of keywords can I search?

Anything — company names (e.g. TSMC, Nvidia), people, industries, policy topics, or any phrase in Chinese or English. The tool aggregates three feeds simultaneously: Taiwan zh-TW, Taiwan English (en-TW), and global English (en-US). Duplicate titles are removed automatically, then sorted by date.

How does duplicate-title removal work?

The tool pulls from three Google News sources at once: Taiwan Chinese, Taiwan English, and global English. Wire services and syndication networks often publish the exact same article across multiple platforms, so the system automatically detects and merges articles with identical titles. However, different outlets covering the same event with their own unique headlines are all preserved — because in media monitoring, knowing how many outlets are reporting on the same story is itself a key metric.

Why do I see at most ~200 results?

To ensure relevance and speed, Google News limits the number of articles returned per query. After aggregating three sources and removing duplicates, you typically get 150–200 of the most relevant and recent articles. If you need larger historical datasets or ongoing tracking, consider an advanced monitoring solution.

How do I open the CSV in Excel with correct Chinese characters?

The CSV includes a UTF-8 BOM marker, so it opens correctly in Microsoft Excel with no extra configuration needed.

Can I filter news by date?

Yes. After searching, filter by Today, Past 7 days, Past 14 days, or Past 30 days and choose which range to download.
